Best Practices For 3D Printing

3D printing is now a phenomenon today. Before the advent of printing technology, items that could be printed were few. Not all materials could  be printed. Today 3D printing made it possible to print various items, including items that could not be printed before. You can use it to print for your print on demand business. With 3D printing, you can print customised labels for your products.

There are 3 categories of printers you can use for 3D printing.

i) Digital press

It is another version of the local press. It is the digital version. Companies use it for commercial purposes and they are more costly than a standard inkjet type of printer.

ii) Laser

This is a kind of printer that makes use of laser to make an image from a technological device. There is movement of the laser to and fro through a  plank in the printer. This makes static electricity bring out toner to the page printing in the image.

iii) The inkjet printer

This printer is a popular and reliable printer that copies a picture from a device and prints it on a plastic or paper. They run in an intricate fashion adding hundreds of little ink buttels to the paper to make the desired image. This is ideal for printing text and coloured images.

This lets you print with different methods in a customised way. This post tell you the best practices for 3D printing. To tips are below:

Use variable text

Depending on the type of work it is, use the longest word of the field making text containers for variable data. Take note of odd word breaks, especially using variable type in large sizes, by testing data that will swap into design of the printing process.

Avoid using huge solids for 3D printing

Toner-based devices can display branding, unevenness or molting. This is due to the radical difference of the toner and the ink. When you apply a toner to paper, it becomes dry. You don’t let a toner fibre absorb the toner, rather you fuse it to the sheet with fuser oil and heat to make a bond. Consistency has to do with the evenness of the toner to a paper and the evenness of the fusing to that paper. There are certain ways to make unevenness appearance connected with toner based devices if you have to use large solids and tints in design. Add texture with Photoshop or use Photoshop Add Noise. You can also disintegrate design elements like illustrations, images  and texts with the rest of the elements.

Testing of fonts

There are freeware fonts that are available for you to download in the internet. A good number of these fonts has restrictions that prevent printing and creation of PDFs. Test the fonts before designing a project. Begin with activating the font of the system. Create a QuarkXpress or InDesign document with the font.

Colour- correct Pictures in the colour space of RDP always

When you convert images from RGD to CMYK, there is loss of colour information. This means you have lesser or average colours, when you are trying to change the colour of an image. When you count images from RGB and then to CMYK, there is a black separation that cuts down the quantity of CMYK in the picture simultaneously. It may not be possible or it is very hard to adjust the colour of that picture.

Following the above tips will help you print efficiently on 3D.
